How long will the migration take?
As announced, this will be spread over the course of the day. It can therefore be assumed that the server / remote access will not work or only work to a limited extent on this day.
What happens to the site managers that are not online at the time of the migration?
Devices that are not online during the migration will automatically connect to the new server as soon as they go online again. No devices will be "lost", even after our Gatemanager.ch is switched off.
What login details can I use to log in to the new server after the migration?
With a few exceptions, you can expect that your existing customer logins will continue to be valid on the new server.
If, contrary to expectations, this does not work, you are welcome to contact us directly by telephone.
Can I still log in to the previous server at a later date?
Yes, but the necessary licenses will be deactivated, so you will no longer be able to establish remote access via the old server.
Is there anything else I need to consider?
Basically not. However, the firewall rules may need to be adjusted for certain end customers, as the DNS or server IP address will no longer be the same as at www.gatemanager.ch. It may therefore be necessary to adapt these rules to the new information in order to continue to ensure problem-free remote access.
